Better Streets Board members for 2024

As we celebrate our first 18 months of operations, we want to extend a massive thank you to the amazing volunteers who have made Better Streets what it is today. Your dedication, passion, and countless hours of work have been the driving force behind our success, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you.

From writing detailed submissions to organizing impactful events, offering guidance through email and on our Slack channels, and many other unseen but vital tasks, your contributions have been invaluable. You have given your time and energy to support our mission, and your efforts have brought us closer to creating safer, more liveable streets for everyone. Simply put, Better Streets wouldn’t be where it is without you! Our volunteers’ commitment inspires us every day.

I also want to extend my gratitude to our board members, who have devoted many hours each week to steering Better Streets forward. At our recent AGM, we said goodbye to Sam Reich, whose dedication as Treasurer and Newcastle representative has been critical to our growth. We’re also pleased to welcome two new board members, Sam Johnson and Matt Faber, who bring fresh energy and insights to our team.

Our board now includes:

• Sara Stace, President (Sydney-based)

• John McNeil, Secretary (Sydney-based)

• Jullietta Jung, Treasurer (Sydney-based)

• Matthew McLaughlin, Board Member (Perth-based)

• Jeremy Lawrence, Board Member (Melbourne-based)

• Sam Johson, Board Member (Sydney-based)

• Matt Faber, Board Member  (Sydney-based)

With this dynamic board and the unwavering support of our incredible volunteers, we look forward to another year of positive change and community building.
