The BikeSpot 2023 reports are out!  In our review of the NSW report, we look at the most-voted Safe and Unsafe spots for cycling in Sydney and the rest of NSW and the primary safety concerns around the unsafe spots (hint, it is not a lack of bicycle stencils painted in the road!). 

Better Streets was recently invited by The Greens’ Cate Faehrmann and Kobi Shetty to NSW Parliament House for a discussion about shared streets in NSW. Alongside our colleagues from Walk Sydney, Bicycle NSW, 30Please and Inner West Bicycle Coalition, we explored how The Greens could shape their policies to ensure more inclusive, safer and environmentally-friendly streets and communities.

WestConnex is building a pedestrian bridge over the CityWest Link and removing all active travel surface access from Haberfield to Timbrell Park “for safety reasons”. But is there a higher priority and will the bridge encourage or discourage active travel?
